B
& F MARINE, INC, a family owned business, founded by my uncle
Angel Barranco in 1961. It started as a small fiberglass, repair
shop and selective marine accessory retail store in Miami. By
the mid 1970’s we were one of the first marine retail stores
to open 7 Days. My uncle and my father slowly grew into two
well-located marine retail stores in Miami-Dade County with
dealerships for Johnson & Mercury Outboards, OMC, Mercruiser
and Volvo Penta Stern Drives. Thus, becoming one of the largest
independent marine retailers in South Florida.
By the 1980's, B & F Marine had grown into more than a two-man
operation. At this time, my uncle and father asked me to come
on board to continue the business. Having a business and banking
degree and a decade of banking experience in top management
allowed me to take the steps necessary in becoming a second-generation
partner in the business. |

| Our modest growth continued, adding on an Aluminum boat line-LANDAU,
and two additional outboard lines: Yamaha and Suzuki. |
